Oh Shit! I am Sharing My First Concert!!

Growing up I loved music and I still do. It has been a part of every good, and bad decision, I have made in my life.

I grew up in the 80’s – not a lot of awesome bands came out of the 80’s. I loved INXS, Duran Duran, U2, and the Violent Femmes but I also fell in love with a lot of bands from the 70’s and earlier. I had a love affair with The Who, Zeppelin, Stones, as well as The Band and The Allman Brother’s Band. I couldn’t get enough and when the summer came around the bands came out on tour.

I grew up in a state that had a constant choice of live music to choose from. Being within a train raid from NYC, a short 30 minute drive to an open arena, 2 hours from Philly, and hour from Giant’s Stadium the choices were exponential. I didn’t get to see everyone I had my heart set on, but I did get to see a lot. I can hear those songs now and remember being there to witness them. I loved live shows, the excitement, the energy – and the party.

There is a new blog that focuses on those bands from when we were Raised on the Radio. It has become one of my favorites spots on the web. It has some awesome people behind it, and is constantly providing facts about the bands that I grew up loving. One of those bands, the first concert I ever went to is being featured today on Raised on the Radio.

Can you guess who it was? He is an awesome guitarist, one of the best song writers (IMO) ever, and has been in numerous successful bands but has been solo for 40+ years and rocking it. Not sure, well click here an go find out….and then stay over there and check out the spot – it really is a cool place to hang.

Thanks –

The Shitastrophy
